Child Safety Standards
High School Years ("HSY," "we," "our," "us") is committed to providing a safe environment for everyone who uses our platform, including the teenagers it is built for. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This page describes the standards and practices we use to prevent, detect, and respond to this conduct.
1. Zero-Tolerance Policy
We strictly prohibit any content, conduct, or communication that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers a child. This includes, without limitation: child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, solicitation of a minor, and any attempt to use our platform to harm a child. Violations result in immediate removal of the content, termination of the responsible account, and reporting to the appropriate authorities.
2. Prohibited Content and Conduct
Users may not upload, post, share, request, or facilitate:
- Any sexual content involving a minor
- The grooming, enticement, or solicitation of a minor for sexual purposes
- Sharing a minor's personal or contact information for exploitative purposes
- Any other content or behavior that endangers the safety or well-being of a child
3. How to Report
Anyone can report suspected child sexual abuse or exploitation, or any content or behavior that violates these standards, by emailing us at marcina@thenaturalexperience.org. We review every report promptly. We are also adding in-app reporting and blocking tools so that any profile, message, or piece of content can be reported and blocked directly within the app.
4. Response and Enforcement
When we become aware of CSAE or CSAM, we act immediately to:
- Remove the content
- Suspend or terminate the responsible account(s)
- Preserve relevant information as required by law
- Report the incident to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or applicable law enforcement, in accordance with U.S. law
5. Legal Compliance
We comply with all applicable child safety laws, including U.S. federal reporting requirements under 18 U.S.C. § 2258A. We cooperate fully with law enforcement and child protection organizations.
